History
The Paye, Fischer & Krause Insurance Agency began
in 1968 when Bob and Gen Paye purchased a small book of personal auto
and homeowners accounts from the widow of J. D. Barlow. Bob took over
agency operations while Gen took an administrative position with a prominent
screw machine company to help make ends meet. The original office was
located on Kercheval in Grosse Pointe Farms in a space barely big enough
for a couple of desks and chairs.
Bob
developed the Barlow Agency by making a very simple commitment: he would
add value to every transaction he touched. From the careful selection
of quality insurance companies to the careful attention to the the needs
and objectives of individual clients he continually sought to make sure
our clients got more for their premium dollars than they could get anywhere
else. In this way, Bob obtained the confidence of Gordon Fischer as
well as Nick Krause to service their accounts as each retired from the
insurance business. To honor these men and their clients our name was
changed to the Paye, Fischer & Krause Insurance Agency. Gen came
on board as accountant in 1986 to help accommodate the growth and manage
the ever expanding accounting needs.
A
pressing need for larger facilities prompted a series of moves culminating
in the settlement at our current offices in Clinton Township.
Over
the years, many changes have occurred. We have grown to a fully staffed
multiple lines agency with a wide variety of products and service capabilities
including several which are unique to our agency. We have added new
team members and new skills. In 1996, Bob passed the torch to his son,
Todd, and is now serving with Gen as advisor to the agency. Through
all the growth and evolution of this company, one thing has remained
constant: our unyielding commitment to add value to everything we touch.
